Welcome to the homepage for Boon Lay CC Chinese Chess Club. A homepage created by and for a group of people from different walks of life bonded by the love for the game of Chinese Chess. We gather almost every Saturdays 1900H-2200H @ Boon Lay CC Room #02-07 to spar, train and most importantly, to enjoy the game. For any enquiries, please email to boonlaychess@hotmail.com

Club History
Boon Lay Chess Club was first established in 24th Mar 1982. Over the years, the club has seen several changes in the management committee.
Chairman
1982-84: Su Zhi Qiang
1984-86: Ye Qing Chen
1986-current: Liang Mu Gui
Under their leadership, the club has achieved considerable success in various team competitions. We were consistently ranked amongst the top 3 clubs in Singapore in the Chess League since the first season in 1995 to 2001, establishing ourselves as one of the traditional powerhouse. (The league was stopped after 2004.) In the other recent team competitions such as the Albert Complex Team Competitions and Yishun South Invitational Team Competitions, we also came out tops.
Since the club's establishment up till today, we had and are still producing Chinese Chess talents for Singapore. We are proud to have with us a handful of national players that have represented Singapore for World Cups, Asian Cups and Singapore-Malaysia Cups, in the Men's category as well as the Youth's and Ladies' categories.
Currently, there are about 20-30 active members in our club.
